Software: REPLAY
REPLAY is an open source solution to manage the complete
life cycle of audiovisual recordings in an automated way.
It also provides comprehensive functionalities for existing
audiovisual archives, repositories or collections. Therefore,
REPLAY is an appropriate solution not just for academia, but
also for institutions and companies producing, hosting, managing
and allocating audiovisual content.

REPLAY was developed to meet the needs which arose as a
result of the sharp increase in the number of audiovisual
objects produced and the subsequent need to manage large
and growing audiovisual collections. In contrast to commercial and
proprietary solutions, REPLAY deals with resulting problems and challenges in a
comprehensive, open and
standard-oriented way. Its architecture is expandable according
to defined (web) interfaces and modular in that it
serves different scenarios.
